Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

New Game (Easy)

This route is based on the current world record. Keep in mind that every fight involves a lot of RNG and requires constant adaptation and pattern recognition

Setting up the Run

Even before the run starts there are a few things you want to make sure to set.
Make sure the following options are turned on:

  • Auto-use rations
  • Auto-use batteries

Auto-use rations will make your characters consume the rations automatically. Saving you time from opening the quick menu to eat in case you are about to die.

Auto-use batteries will consume your spare batteries to refill your energy meter. This will allow you to use Zonai Devices without interruption.

Lastly make sure to set your language settings on the title screen option and not after clicking new game as the load will be longer when you click "Yes" after selecting the difficulty.
For voice language, English seems to be the fastest language as it saves time in the opening intro. However timings for the entire run have not been done thoroughly. So feel free to run any voice language/Text language that you feel the most comfortable running with.

Chapter 1

To the Great Plateau

Time for the run starts when you click "Yes" after selecting the difficulty.
Two cutscenes will play and they can be skipped by simply mashing the "+" button twice or any combination of buttons ( except home and capture) and then "+".
You will then starts playing as Zelda. Walking up to an Hylian camp as Rauru and Sonia explains what Shades and Shrines are.
Once you step on the last plank of the bridge three cutscenes will play. The camp gets overrun by shades and some of the guards are taken over too. Focus the guards first as after 4 of them go down more Shades will spawn. You can get rid of the guards and Shades really quickly by using a combination of attacks. Three Regular Attacks will kill any Shades and weakens the Hylian. Three Regular attack followed by one Strong Attack will not only cover more ground by take care of the guards. Any attacks can have their animation cancel by pressing "B", the dodge button. If you're canceling Regular Attacks just make sure the hit goes through, as canceling too early is a possibility. The same goes for Strong Attacks unless it is some kind of projectile just like Zelda has in this case.
