Any% RMG

Any% RMG is a category that beats the game as quickly as possible under the Restricted Major Glitches ruleset.

Stairmaster Route

This is the fastest known route for the category.

Eastern Palace

• Get Lamp in Link's House
• Fighter Sword from Uncle
• Lonk escape
• River FAWT
• Eastern citrus
  • Or just walk to Eastern at the cost of a few seconds
• Defeat Armos

Hyrule Castle

• Pegasus Boots
• Death Mountain Ascent
• Magic Mirror
• Light World Death Mountain Descent
• Moat clip to east castle entrance
• Rescue Zelda
  • After meeting Zelda in her cell, S&Q and use the mirror to reach Sanctuary
• S&Q Death Mountain

Tempered Sword

• Bunny DMD
• C-shaped house 300 rupees
  • Use mirror superbunny to enable opening the chest
• Mirror to Light World
• Tavern bottle
• Red Potion from Kakariko shop
• Warp back to Dark World
• YBA dwarf rescue
• Buy another Red Potion from Kakariko shop
• Tempered sword
• S&Q Death Mountain

Agahnim 2

• Hera clip
• TR climb
• Mirror wrap to Mirror Shield TR entrance
• Use mirror superbunny on the Mirror Shield TR entrance
• Bonk to use the east door in the Mirror Shield chest room
• TR Big Key
  • Tunnels will give you Lonk state, and you can then take damage from the antifairies in the Key Pokey hallway to gain full Link state.
• Stairmaster to Moldorm 2
• Hover Moldorm 2
• Agahnim 2

Ganon

• Win the game with tempered sword, lamp, and 4 hearts.

Eastern First Route

This was the route that was discovered and worked on in 2020. It uses Lonk and Overworld EG to do Eastern Palace before taking Zelda to the Sanctuary.

Eastern Palace

• Get Lamp in Link's House
• Fighter Sword from Uncle
• Lonk escape
• River FAWT
• Eastern citrus
  • Or just walk to Eastern at the cost of a few seconds
• Defeat Armos

Hyrule Castle

• Pegasus Boots
  • Optionally collect the 3 bombs in Sahasrahla's closet to enable bomb clipping
• Death Mountain Ascent
• Rescue the lost Old Man and collect the Magic Mirror
• Kiki Yeet
• Kiki Skip
• Cave-state big key
• Hammer
• S&Q
  • You'll spawn in Sanctuary without a prompt
• Moat clip to east castle entrance
• Get the boomerang
• Rescue Zelda
  • After meeting Zelda in her cell, S&Q and use the mirror to reach Sanctuary
• S&Q Death Mountain

Tempered Sword

• Hera clip
• Moon Pearl
  • With cave-state big key, you don't need to get Hera's big key and can just directly climb the tower
• Dwarf DMD
• Tempered Sword
• S&Q Death Mountain

Ganon's Tower

• GT clip
• Bonk the gaps in the Spike Skip room (you don't have hookshot to do it normally)
• You'll need a diagonal boomerang throw in the Double Switch room.
• Bomb jump or hover to cross the void in the firesnake room.
• Use a no/low damage strat in the Spike Floor room after you've gotten the big key.
• Fight Lanmo2 with Tempered Sword
• Use bow in Wizzrobe rooms. Note they can both still be done in 1 cycle.
• Lamp only in the torch rooms.
• Hover Moldorm 2
  • This is hard required in this route due to no hookshot.
• Agahnim 2

Ganon

• Win the game with tempered sword, lamp, and low hearts.

Original Hover Route

This was the route that was worked out in 2014. It's also sometimes called by the meme-y moniker "Sushi Lunch".

Hyrule Castle

• Normal NMG castle escape
  • Collecting the blue boomerang is necessary
• S&Q to Link's House

Eastern Palace

• Eastern citrus
  • Or just walk to Eastern at the cost of a few seconds
• Bow
• Defeat Armos

Hammer

• Pegasus Boots
  • Optionally get the 3 bombs from the back of Sahasrahla's closet to enable bomb clipping for Kiki Skip.
• S&Q Sanctuary
• Death Mountain Ascent
• Rescue the lost Old Man and get the Mirror
• Kiki Yeet
• Kiki Skip
• Hammer

Tempered Sword

• S&Q Death Mountain
• Bunny DMD
• Mirror Jump dwarf rescue
• Tempered Sword

Ganon's Tower

• GT clip with bunny
• Die on the spikes in spike floor room to gain Link state
• Bonk the gaps in the Spike Skip room (you don't have hookshot to do it normally)
• You'll need a diagonal boomerang throw in the Double Switch room.
• Bomb jump or hover to cross the void in the firesnake room.
