Enter Jabu-Jabu Without a Fish
Newer Method

- Z-Target the pillar to the right so that Link is touching the railing.
- Hold R and press B twice to crouch stab recoil off the pillar twice, putting you into position.
- Sidehop left then quickly mash B to jump attack.
The sword should hit the pillar on the opposite side of the railing, causing you to recoil back into the Jabu-Jabu loading zone. However, if Link does not jumpslash quickly enough it can be a long swim back to setup again. Because of this the next method is still commonly used.
Classic Method

- Climb onto the rail to the right of Jabu Jabu's mouth
- Face the side of Jabu Jabu's mouth, lining up the B button with the second green triangle from the left
- Jump off and then perform a jump slash to get as much height as possible
- Timed correctly, you will hit the loading zone for the dungeon.
It is possible to jump too high, in which case you need to slide down a little bit and do another jumpslash to hit the loading zone. Getting to know exactly where to aim for requires a small amount of practice.
It should be noted that both of the above techniques can also be performed from the left side of Jabu-Jabu's head.
Enter Jabu Jabu As An Adult
Entering Jabu Jabu as an Adult used to be incredibly difficult.
Newer and easier methods have been found in the years since its original discovery, however.
Enter Jabu with bombs and hoverboots
This is the generally easiest and fastest method
Enter Ice Cavern As Child
Using the setup shown in the video below and sideflip bombchu hovers, you can enter Ice Cavern as child.
Skip silver rock
with weirdslide
A weirdslide can get Link to grab the ledge under the silver rock, skipping the strength upgrade. Approach from the side shown in the video because approaching from the other side of the rock doesn't allow the camera angle and Link's facing angle to match, which makes the weirdslide harder or impossible. The inputs are the same as a weirdshot but without releasing target.

This is about 4-5s slower than first try weirdslide and uses three bombs instead of one, but it's much easier to do consistently.
- Drop a bomb that will hit the wall and underground rock
- Target the wall left of the silver rock; just need to be on the right half of that section of wall
- Sidehop left twice and then neutral roll twice (first is sideroll, second is straight dry roll); hesitate slightly before each roll to make it go the right direction
- After the explosion is gone, sidehop right twice and sideroll (keep targeting)
- Turn right
- Place two bombs and target at some point
- Turn 180 (can ESS for safety; using a magic turn makes it easy to avoid getting hit by the bombs)
- Target neutral slash to clip and hold A to drop
If the last steps are done quickly enough, Link will drop early enough not to get hit by the explosion. This is possible even with an ESS turn. If you notice during step 4 that Link gets pushed far to the left, that means the bomb in step 1 didn't hit the underground rock. In this case, use this backup.
